As you can see from our Blog, the library evolved from a large, barren room to a state-of-the-art library that we are enjoying today. We have an eclectic array of books. At the moment the library has over 7,500 books for students, family members and school personnel to borrow for a designated period of time.
The library is a comfortable and nurturing risk-free milieu that fosters the students' independent reading skills and engages them in read aloud activities presented by our Librarian, Ms. Sarles. The library also has the most up-to-date computers and Smartboard Technology. Alternate and Standardized Assessment students will complete research and eighth grade exit projects in the library. The staff have enjoyed attending Professional Development workshops in the library as well.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place on May 8, 2009 now that 99% of the work has been completed.
If you are in our neighborhood, stop by to say hello and visit our magnificent library!
